The Activist wave
The aim of the project was to support people involved in activism in Georgia, to represent their role and to raise awareness about feminism in society. Within the project multiple videos, personal stories, postcards, graphic illustrations and other types of content were created. All of them served to introduce the people who contributed to the positive changes in the field of women's rights in Georgia.
Thanks to feminist movements, we have adopted an anti-discrimination law in Georgia. As a result, the law protects all people from discrimination, regardless of race, skin color, language, gender, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, or other marks.
Thanks to the feminist movements, it is against the law to get married until the age of 18 in Georgia.
Thanks to the feminist movements, the Parliament of Georgia adopted the Law on Prevention of Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
Thanks to the feminist movements, the Abduction of girls for the purpose of marriage in Georgia is punishable by imprisonment.
