ფემინურობის და მასკულინობის საზღვრები მკაცრად არის დადგენილი საზოგადოების მიერ შეთანხმებული ნორმებით. ამჟამინდელ, გვიანი კაპიტალიზმის ეპოქაში ეს წინასწარ შეთანხმებული ცნებები განსაკუთრებით გამყარებულია გენდერიზებული პროდუქტებით.

ელენე დუდუჩავა ფოტო პროექტით “დიქოტომია” მიზნად ისახავს ხაზი გაუსვას ამ სოციალური ნორმების დიქოტომიურობას და ვიზუალურად წარმოაჩინოს ის პროდუქტები, რომლებიც ფემინურობასთან ან მასკულინობასთან არის ასოცირებული.

პროექტი შეიქმნა ჰოლანდიის საელჩოს ფინანსური მხარდაჭერით, გრლზვეივის გამოფენისთვის “ფემინურობისა და მასკულინობის გასაყარზე”.

The boundaries of femininity and masculinity have been firmly established by societal conventions. In our current era of late capitalism, these preconceived notions are reinforced through our constant exposure to gendered products.

In her photo project, Elene Duduchava aims to highlight the dichotomy of these societal norms by visually representing the objects commonly associated with either femininity or masculinity.

The project was created with the financial support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Georgia for Grlzwave’s exhibition “On the verge of femininity and masculinity”.
